Network Marketing is a product distribution model that allows the manufacturers to eliminate the supply channel of distribution warehouses and sell almost directly to the end consumer. For some products, especially household and personal care items this a better option than trying to establish themselves on the shelves of Wal-Mart or Macy’s.

Home based businesses using the Network Marketing business model are almost always paid on a commission basis with increasing referral bonuses as they expand the size of their market and increase sales. Each company has a slightly different compensation plan but the central theme is always increased sales volume equals increasing fees.
